Clean Energy Diversified Partners, LLC (CEDP) and its consultant team specialize in the siting, design, and permitting of green and renewable energy projects throughout New York State, including solar, wind, battery storage, fuel cell, and biogas. CEDP is undertaking a vertically integrated strategy to develop a sustainable pipeline of clean energy projects at strategic locations for the current and future grid.
The primary value differentiator for CEDP is our proven capability to gain stakeholder consensus and develop economically successful projects. Before formally initiating a project, our team undertakes a deep dive and interacts with stakeholders on local political and neighborhood sensitivities. These efforts along with our knowledge around land acquisition and land use with the connection to local communities and customers results in large-scale renewable energy projects financed by prequalified investors through operations.
New York State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act of 2019 adopts the most ambitious and comprehensive climate and clean energy legislation in the country, including calls for 70% renewable energy by 2030, 9,000 megawatts of offshore wind by 2035, 3,000 megawatts of energy storage by 2030, and 6,000 megawatts of solar by 2025.
Also noteworthy is New York State’s Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act of 2020, which formalizes the approvals process for large-scale renewable energy facilities and associated local transmission lines through the newly established Office of Renewable Energy Siting.
With its formalization of new onshore wind and solar energy rules in 2021 for the Accelerated Renewable Energy Growth and Community Benefit Act, New York State now has clear guidelines to significantly ramp-up renewable energy production for the next twenty years, plus utility-scale battery storage to help sustain grid customers when the sun doesn’t shine and the wind doesn’t blow.
